Last week saw the premier of Marvel’s new Agent Carter miniseries. Spinning off of the first Captain America movie, Agent Carter seems to be an attempt to fill the gaps on the origins of the Marvel Cinematic version of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as build up the backstory of Peggy Carter herself. Did Marvel score an old fashioned home run with Carter’s first solo mission or were Agent Carter’s first two episodes about as exciting as a taking a walk to first base after four balls at home plate?
