This past season, against all odds, Supergirl became one of Kristian’s favorite shows to watch every week. Having been disappointed with Man of Steel and flustered with the strange direction DC Comics was taking Superman over the past several years, Kristian was happy to discover a TV show that got the feel and mythos of the Superman Family right. Not only did it get it right but it was confident enough to wear its heart on its sleeve and was just wholesome enough that Kristian could watch it with his young daughter and not worry about it scarring her for life. This week Kristian finally sits down to chat about one of his favorite debuts of the last television season with Barry Negrin (our resident Doctor Who expert) and his teenage daughter Romy. Romy offers a breath of fresh air to the Part-Time Fanboy clubhouse as she presents a unique viewpoint toward the show. After all…she is the target demographic that the program is aiming for! Is Supergirl just for old nerds past their demographic prime? Or is Kara Zor-El charming enough to have ensnared the hearts of cynical teenagers everywhere?
