The Spirit of the Staircase is a weekly comic strip that appears in the pages of The Knoxville Mercury. While wandering the aisles at the Long Beach Comic Con a couple of weekends ago the collected edition of The Spirit of the Staircase, Tap Water and Tuna Party, caught Kristian’s  eye. From the moment he opened the pages of Tap Water and Tuna Party, Kristian fell in love with the strip. This week on Part-Time Fanboy Kristian interviews the creator of the strip, Matthew Foltz-Gray. Foltz-Gray chats about the challenge of motivating himself to create the comic, his love of weekly newspaper strips, and how the landscape of print comics vs. webcomics has changed in the last several years!
