Part-Time Fanboy Podcast: Ep 305- Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey!
February 13, 2020 (No Comments) by Kristian

Harley Quinn was first conceived of as a throwaway character by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm as a foil for the Joker on the Batman animated series. Making her first appearance in 1992, Harley (then voiced by Arleen Sorkin) proved so popular with fans that she would regularly reappear on the show throughout its run. Eventually Harley would begin to make appearances in the comic book adaptations of the Batman cartoon show which would lead to her character then becoming a part of the actual DC universe and getting a comic book series of her own. Through the years Quinn would remain a fan favorite, so much so that actress Margot Robbie would end up portraying her in the film adaptation of The Suicide Squad. While that movie was universally panned, Robbie proved to be enough of a standout as Harley that the actress would reprise the role in a movie of her own now known as Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey. This week on the Part-Time Fanboy Podcast Kristian chats with his pals Paul Edwards, Reyna Velarde, and Yvis Cannavale about Harley’s solo debut. Is Birds of Prey the antidote to Joker‘s morose worldview or does Harley end up with a pie in her face in her own movie? Find out on this episode of Part-Time Fanboy!
