In the past several months a lot of high profile comic book talent have decided to ditch the big two and focus on their own creator-owned projects! Kristian, Ian, Corey, and Paul are joined by Mark L. Miller, EIC of Ain’t It Cool’s Comic and Horror columns (as well as author of Zenescope’s JUNGLE BOOK comic and his creator owned project at Famous Monsters LUNA), to discuss why it seems like creators are dumping corporate comics and going their own way. We also just end up talking about creator owned books in general and the dicipline it takes to truly create your own comics.
Note: There were technical problems in the recording of this episode so listeners may notice a static hum during sections of the podcast. It’s a great discussion worth listening to but we do apologise for the sound quality problems. Kristian hopes to get his act together and resolve the issue.
Also, be sure to stay tuned for the very end of the episode where we delve into some quick thoughts from Ian and Corey regarding The Dark Knight Rises as well as some other general tomfoolery! Woo! Bonus features!
