Every week this month, Part-Time Fanboy welcomes some of their favorite indie comics creators to pick one of their favorite spooky movies and chat about it on the podcast!
This week Dave Dwonch (Cyrus Perkins and the Haunted Taxicab, Prom of the Dead, Jenny Zero) picks The Final Girls! The Final Girls is a charming and hysterical send up of eighties slasher movies like Friday the 13th and Halloween. When a fire breaks out during a revival screening of a classic slasher flick, five young moviegoers find themselves mysteriously transported into the film itself. Hijinks ensue as a group of millenial young people have to deal with navigating not only the dangers of a maniacal killer on the loose but the attitudes of a bunch of out of touch gen x movie characters! Josh Eiserike (The Very Last Final Girls, Charm City, Pale of Settlement) joins the fun as Kristian and Dave dive into a fun horror movie that’s perfect Halloween viewing for people who aren’t fans of horror movies!
