Joseph Karg is an animation professional and an Associate Professor of Illustration at Kennesaw State University. Like many other creatives, Karg had become frustrated with the general state of the world we’re living in so he decided to take his talent and do something with it. He created I Feel Doomed (currently funding on Kickstarter), an anthology comic book that brings together the work of his students at the university as well as artists he knows within the animation industry to tackle the anxiety at large that so many people are feeling right now. On this episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast, Kristian sits down with Joseph to chat about what inspired him to take on this project, why stories dealing with trauma or society’s ills might be more inspiring than depressing, and what a future with AI holds for creative people everywhere.
