avengersptfKristian Horn

Discovered as a babe in an abandoned comic book storage box and bitten by a radioactive nerd when he was a teenager, Kristian Horn is the Founder/Editor/Producer of Part-Time Fanboy and has had a passion for everything comic book and pop culture related for as long as he can remember.

Initially Part-Time Fanboy began as a small blog for Kristian to publish his random thoughts about geek news. It quickly developed into something else when he realized how much he loved talking with his friends on the phone about comics, movies, TV shows, etc. The idea to record these conversations and put them out into the interwebs nailed him like a thunderbolt while stuck in Los Angeles traffic one day and thus the Part-Time Fanboy Podcast was born!

Kristian has been a contributing writer and interviewer for the Ain’t It Cool News comic book section and is a sometime cartoonist and designer. He’s also acted in some really bad movies a long time ago so the less said about that the better.  He also helped co-create the concept for the comic Baby Badass and is currently working on his own webcomic, The Periwinkle Puss.

Kristian works as an Online Media Producer for a large multi-media/retail company which he won’t name here and lives in Los Angeles, California with his wonderfully tolerant wife and daughter.

Regular Podcast Contributors (In Alphabetical Order)

Yvis Cannavale

Born and raised in the city by the bay, Yvis started his quest for validation in the SF theater scene performing in such plays as The Museum, The Crucible and Merry Wives of Windsor just to name a few. He then topped it off by directing Dangerous Liaisons for which he received widespread critical acclaim (mostly from his Mother and his Italian uncle who didn’t speak English).

He was thin enough to be allowed into Los Angeles where he continued to perform, adding stand-up and sketch comedy to his growing list of skills that would take him nowhere.   He continues to write as if no one is reading, meaning a lot of spelling and grammatical errors.

He has a love of low brow humor, high sugar cereals, movies, theater, books and discussing whether trees dream.

Barry Negrin

Barry Negrin is the Part-Time Fanboy senior Doctor Who scholar-in-residence, having watched the show for nearly 40 years.  His love of sci-fi dates back even longer than that, having its origins sitting on his parents’ lap while watching first-run episodes of Star Trek in the 1960’s. Contemplating the improbable led Barry to engineering school at The Cooper Union. However, after a few spectacular failures in the lab led his lab partners to suggesting he use his literary talents and stick to writing up the reports rather than wreck the equipment, he set his sights on patent law. If  you contemplate the improbable and have an invention, Barry can help!
