Over fifteen years ago Marvel Comics found itself in a quandary. Having just avoided bankruptcy and stinging from bad fan reaction from misguided experiments such as the Spider-Man Clone Saga, the comic company found itself on shaky ground both creatively and financially. Marvel needed to make a change. In desperation for something new and refreshing they handed over a corner of the Marvel Universe to Joe Quesada who, in turn, handed over the reigns of the book to fanboy filmmaker Kevin Smith. The result was a run on Daredevil that many consider to be one of the best in the character’s history. In this episode of Part-Time Fanboy Kristian, Paul, and Ian sit down to discuss Guardian Devil…Kevin Smith and Joe Quesada’s intricately crafted take on Daredevil.
