Almost thirty years ago Alan Moore, along with artist Brian Bolland, unleashed unto the world Batman: The Killing Joke a graphic novel that would change much of the Batman mythos forever! The Killing Joke was a powerful story that balanced the tale of the Joker’s ultimate act of horror vs. a sad and humanizing revision of the clown prince of crime’s origin story. Several weeks ago DC Comics released an animated film which attempted to adapt the classic Batman tale for the home video market. Many fans were upset with some of the liberties taken with the story, particularly the opening twenty minutes. Kristian and Ian sit down this week to discuss the animated version of The Killing Joke.
