Almost twenty years ago indie comic creator Martin Eden began creating his own superhero comics. Influenced by creators such as Chris Claremont, John Byrne, Grant Morrison, and Neil Gaiman, Eden set out to make a superhero universe all his own. For years he worked the convention circuit in the UK, selling his wares to fans of superheroic adventure and building his own fan base among lovers of super powered adventure stories in Great Britain. The O Men was a celebration of everything Eden adored about superhero comics and it was a labor of love which he only took a break from for a short time to create the world’s first gay superhero team known as Spandex. Last year, Eden decided to end his grand superhero epic so Kristian sat down with him for a chat about what it’s been like creating comics on his own and what’s changed in the industry and the world in general since he first got the idea to make his own series of superhuman sequential stories!
