In 2012 a comic company rose from the ashes of obscurity. Valiant Entertainment was the resurgence of an almost forgotten universe of characters who had initially been launched by former Marvel editor Jim Shooter and businessman Steven Massarsky. In 1994 the company was sold off and the comics publisher failed to survive under the mantle of new proprietorship. Five years ago, Part-Time Fanboy took a look at several of the Valiant comics that had re-launched once again under the guidance of new ownership led by Dinesh Shamdasani. Now, with Valiant having been sold once again and news of a possible film based off their character Bloodshot being developed, Part-Time Fanboy turns a critical eye in the direction of the Valiant Universe once again. This week, Kristian sits down with Corey Blake to check out three random Valiant trade paperbacks: Bloodshot Reborn-Colorado, The Valiant, and Ivar-Timewalker to check in and see how the Valiant Universe has fared in the past several years. Has Valiant been able to retain some of the magic that it seemed to have during their re-launch all those years ago? Or has Valiant stumbled on its path to become the new big superhero publisher in comics? Find out on this episode of Part-Time Fanboy!
