Rylend Grant is a screenwriter who has worked with or had projects optioned by Hollywood heavy hitters such as J.J. Abrams and Ridley Scott. He’s had success at getting his projects noticed and made money off of them but, much like many other successful writers in the entertainment biz, his projects have had a small amount of trouble getting made into movies. Becoming frustrated with not being able to see his projects not come to full fruition, Grant turned to comics as a means of making his imagined projects come to life. The result became Aberrant, a comic series being published by Action Lab Danger Zone. Aberrant is a series in which people with super powers have become very much a part of the military and political scene that moves the world outside our windows. Part super-hero drama, part action movie, and part political thriller Aberrant is a superpower story with an edge. On this episode of Part-Time Fanboy Kristian sits down with Mr. Grant to chat about his career in screenwriting and how it developed into making comics that would re-invigorate his passion for writing!
