SPOILERS! In 2014 Godzilla returned to American theaters after having been exiled for over fifteen years because of a nuclear sized bomb at the box office in 1998. The 2014 film polarized fans of the atomic era lizard with many believing that there was too much focus on the human interpersonal drama and not enough kaiju monster carnage in the movie. The Godzilla movie of five years ago actually has the distinction of being one of the few films that Kristian has expressed severe dislike for on this podcast.
