Steve Bryant is an artist and writer who has been working in comics for almost thirty years. In the early 2000’s he launched a webcomic called Athena Voltaire which became an indie success almost immediately after its launch. Mr. Bryant recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for the latest volume of Athena Voltaire’s adventures: Athena Voltaire and the Terror on the Orient Express! This week Kristian sits down for a chat with Mr. Bryant covering a wide variety of subjects including how he avoided making Athena Voltaire becoming just another “cheescake” heroine, how he developed a love for old movies when he did some research for developing the comic, and what success means or doesn’t mean for artists working in the indie comic trenches.
