It’s another podcast this week! Why? Because it’s October that’s why! During the month of October Part-Time Fanboy continues its tradition of chatting about some of their favorite horror films! Every week this month, some of the Part-Time Fanboy contributors will pick one of their favorite horror movies and those of the crew who can join in will sit down to discuss it.
This week Yvis Cannavale picks the sequel to the original Amityville Horror film that’s actually a…prequel? Amityville II: The Possession takes place after the events of the original James Brolin/Margot Kidder horror flick but in a bizarre twist it actually is inspired by the DeFeo family murders which took place at 112 Ocean Avenue in Long island, NY. A year before the Lutz family moved into one of the most infamous homes in horror history, a horrible murder occurred and that tragedy was the basis for the events detailed in Amityville II: The Possession. Friend of the podcast Mark L. Miller joins in the discussion along with Yvis and Kristian to talk about a sequel that two-thirds of them agree is better than the original and one-third likes but isn’t quite ready to deem a classic of fright fest cinema.
