It’s October! During the month of October Part-Time Fanboy continues its tradition of chatting about some of their favorite horror films! Every week this month, some of the Part-Time Fanboy contributors will pick one of their favorite horror movies and those of the crew who can join in will sit down to discuss it.
This week Kristian cheats a bit and picks a horror TV show rather than a movie. Black Summer is Netflix show which debuted in April of 2019. Starring Jaime King, Black Summer was a prequel to the Syfy network show Z Nation which detailed how a small group of average people attempted to survive the beginnings of a zombie plague. Black Summer took a decidedly more serious and frenetic tone with its take on the undead than the show it spun off from. The Z Nation spinoff stepped on the gas from the first episode and did not let up on the tension during its whole first season run. This past June saw the debut of season two of the zombie apocalypse show and this week Joshua Henaman, creator of the comic book Bigfoot: Sword of the Earthman, joins the podcast to chat about both seasons of Black Summer. Did season two keep up the frenzied pace of season one? Or did the second season of Black Summer shamble off to die an ignominious death? Find out on this episode of Part-Time Fanboy!
