It’s October! During the month of October Part-Time Fanboy continues its tradition of chatting about horror films during the Halloween month! This year, we’re doing things a little differently! Every week this month, Part-Time Fanboy welcomes some of their favorite indie horror comics creators to pick one of their favorite spooky movies and chat about it on the podcast!
To kick things off we begin with comic book creator Terry Mayo (Buddy, The Wicked Righteous, Disposable Legends) who is a fan of the only movie that horror legend Stephen King has ever written and directed himself, Maximum Overdrive! Maximum Overdrive explores the horrifying prospect of what would happen if machines suddenly became sentient and turned on the human race that made them! Starring Emilio Esteves and Laura Harrington, Maximum Overdrive is a movie that King himself has derided as a “movie for morons”. Terry Mayo, however, is not a moron…so why does he love this movie so much? Well, on this episode of Part-Time Fanboy he sits down with Kristian and returning PTF clubhouse member Yvis Cannivale to discuss why he has a warm place in his heart for the movie that Stephen King made while apparently in the grips of an alcohol and cocaine addiction.
Part-Time Fanboy. Full-Time obsession on a Part-Time schedule.
