Tracy Mark Lee is an artist who has worked in the animation field for years. In the early 2000’s he took a break from working in animation to form his own collectible company which he called Electric Tiki. Electric Tiki quickly became a favorite among those who loved having 3-D representations of their favorite pop culture characters in their homes. As a fan of comics, animation, and television himself, Lee’s company would focus on creating statues of characters he loved ranging from Richie Rich to Mighty Mouse to The Lone Ranger to Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Unfortunately, as time went on Tracy had to step back from Electric Tiki as he had been managing the whole business by himself. Recently Electric Tiki went back into production with a new statue based off of the work of artist Derek Yaniger and is currently having a sale on some of their product in their Etsy shop! On this episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast Kristian chats with Tracy about how he got started in animation, what inspired him to actually go out and create his own collectible business, and how he went about choosing which characters his company would create statues of!
