Ari Gross is a Canadian writer who’s been on the show in the past to chat about his comics Awakening and Wardens. He’s currently crowdfunding his most recent book, Upkeep, which takes a dark look at the housing crisis that’s affecting the middle class everywhere. In Upkeep, a young family finds their dream house but in order to maintain ownership of it they have to make a very sinister deal. On this episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast Kristian chats with Ari about home ownership, how he was inspired to create a to create a Twilight Zone-like tale by average citizen’s struggle to find a house, and if he thinks crowdsourcing is worth the effort it takes to help fund his projects.
