Tilly Bridges is a trans writer who is probably best known for her book Begin Transmission: The Trans Allegories of The Matrix. In Begin Transmission, Tilly took a deep dive into the Matrix movies and revealed the trans narrative that ran through the whole series of films. On her website, Tilly Trans Tuesdays, Tilly continued her work looking into the trans allegories which existed in other films. This week, Tilly sits down with Kristian to discuss what was one of his favorite movies of 2023…Barbie! Barbie was widely seen as a film with overt feminist messaging that was a huge cultural, critical, and box office success.
