Jonathan London is the head of one of the longest running nerd podcasts on the internet known as Geekscape! His brother is none other than former professional wrestler Paul London! When Paul’s career in the ring was coming to an end, Jonathan noticed that he was having a bit of a mental health crisis. To help Paul out, Jonathan decided to create a fantasy character using his brother as a template. In Paul London: Hero of the Prophecy, Jonathan cast Paul as a wrestler who finds himself transported to a magical Dungeons and Dragons-like realm where he must combat an evil sorcerer in order to free that world’s citizens from tyranny. Jonathan made a short film from the concept and shopped it around as a TV show and a film but when COVID hit, it put the breaks on almost all production around Hollywood. Jonathan then decided to go back to his first love of comics and turn Paul London: Hero of the Prophecy into a comic book…which is currently funding on Kickstarter! On this episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast, Kristian chats with Jonathan about how his love for his brother became the driving force behind his foray into comic book creation!
