Osy Ikhile is an actor who’s had a successful career with roles in shows like Black Mirror, Citadel, and All American. Even though his acting career has had its accomplishments, Osy still had the desire to create his own projects. Years ago he began developing an idea for a television show but eventually realized that getting a series off the ground might take too long. So he turned to his other passion, comics, to bring his imaginings to fruition. The result ended up being the new comic book series We Who Remain, which is about a group of individuals who must overcome the traumas they’ve faced in their lives in order to gain the abilities they need to fight a nefarious mystical foe. On this episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast, Kristian sits down with Osy to chat about how his own difficulties in life helped him shape his story, how the X-Men were a major inspiration to him in creating his narrative, and how his skills as an actor helped him when he was creating his own characters for the book.
