Almost forty years ago The Doctor was felled by an enemy greater than any he’d faced before. During the tail end of the 1979-1980 season, production was shut down during the filming of the finale of the series due to a labor strike. Shada was a Doctor Who serial that was never completed and remained very much a mystery in the Who mythology for decades.

In 2017 the BBC reconstructed the never-completed Shada using animated sequences to fill in the gaps for the parts that were never completed during the original shoot. This week, in anticipation of the arrival of the new female Doctor, Kristian sits down with Part-Time Fanboy Doctor Who scholar Barry Negrin to discuss the Doctor Who episode that never was! Was it worth reviving after all these years? Find out on this episode of Part-Time Fanboy!
