Charlie Stickney is a comic book writer who has had tremendous success on Kickstarter with his comic White Ash. Along with artist Conor Hughes, Stickney has funded no less than six Kickstarter campaigns for his indie comic about the nefarious goings on at a sleepy little mining town in Pennsylvania. They just launched a new Kickstarter for the latest volume of White Ash and it funded almost within the first day! This week Kristian chats with the co-creator of one of his favorite comics out there today. Charlie talks about his new relationship with publisher Scout Comics, why he feels the need for his book to be in comic shops despite having a loyal following on Kickstarter, and many of the challenges behind getting the Hollywood studios to take notice of his comic book property even with its success on the crowdfunding platform. It’s an eye opening chat with the co-creator of a comic that continues to blow up on Kickstarter!
