Gabe Cheng started his career as an educator and then changed course to pursue a career in writing for the entertainment industry. While seeking his fortune in the trade of screenwriting, Gabe discovered a passion for creating comic books. He would eventually take that affection for writing for sequential art and create comics like For Molly and Love at First Bite. Today sees the launch of a Kickstarter campaign for his latest book, Into the Wilderness. Into the Wilderness is a spinoff of his book For Molly. In both of those comics, Gabe has developed a world in which humans live in a sort of survivalist environment caught in a conflict with talking dogs. On this episode of Part-Time Fanboy Kristian sits down to chat with Gabe about discovering his love for comics, his affection for the non-horror works of Stephen King, Gabe’s own podcast about the TV show Futurama, and why Batman is his favorite comic book hero .
