Conor McCreery is a comic creator who has had success with several excellent titles like Kill Shakespeare, Sherlock Holmes vs. Harry Houdini, and The Last Witch. When Conor’s name is usually on a project you can rest assured that it is a quality comic book. Trickster (which he co-created with writer and T-Pub publisher Neil Gibson) is his latest comic. In the past McCreery has usually worked through a publisher to get his books released but with Trickster he and Gibson have gone the crowdsourcing route and decided to use the new platform known as Zoop. Zoop is a crowdfunding platform that is cultivated towards comic creators and comic fans alike. On this episode of Part-Time Fanboy Kristian chats with Conor about why he chose not to go directly through a publisher for his latest comic, how he turned Leprechaun mythology on its head in Trickster, and just how far might be too far when coming up with bits for his comedic horror tale.
