About ten years ago Samuel Vera was a comic book creator on the move. He was publishing his own comics, doing the convention circuit, running his own podcast, and on the verge of closing a deal for an animated show with Warner Bros. Studios. When that deal abruptly fell apart, Sam decided it was time to walk away from comics and closed up shop…walking away from the comics scene for about a decade. Now he’s returned with a new comic book project funding on Kickstarter called There’s An Alien In My Toilet…a fun all ages romp about an alien named Doodie from the planet Uranus. This week Kristian chats with Samuel about how he got started in comics, why he walked away from them for so long, and how events during the Covid-19 pandemic have led him back to his dream of making sequential stories again!
