King Arthur and The Knights of Justice was a Saturday morning cartoon which debuted in the early nineties. It existed in that realm of animation somewhere between the heyday of G.I. Joe or The Transformers and the advent of Batman: The Animated Series. Next week sees the debut of the first comic book adaptation of KAATKOJ which is being published by the Maverick imprint of Mad Cave Studios! To create the first spinoff of the series in thirty years, Mad Cave turned to writer Joe Carallo to refashion the Arthurian animated series for the modern age. On this episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast, Kristian chats with Joe about how he got the chance to write an adaptation for a show he was fan of in his youth, the challenges in updating it for modern audience, and why Mad Cave is resurrecting a property that hasn’t seen the light of day in thirty years!
