Dallas Hoisington and Connie Huang are two artists who met at a local Drink n’ Draw gathering. While sketching to their hearts content, Connie mentioned that she had purchased table space at a local convention but wasn’t quite prepared to set up shop. Dallas stepped in to help and they began manufacturing stickers to sell at their first comic convention together. Thus Hyde Hermit Studio was born and Connie and Dallas have been a mainstay of the convention scene ever since…branching out into selling pins, shirts, plush and even books! On this episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast, Kristian sits down with Connie and Dallas to discuss how they met, what it was like setting up a business together, and what their takes are on the constantly evolving convention scene.
