Episode Six Hundred is here!
For the six hundredth episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast Kristian welcomes back friend of the podcast Gabe Cheng! Gabe Cheng is a writer who's had lots of success on Kickstarter with one shot comics like The Problem With Parallels, Crashlands, and Requiem in Relke. For a long time Gabe's not really been interested in exploring a narrative past one single issue. His comics have been examinations of different stories in different genres that only stuck to one self contained tale...until now. With his newest comic, This Seems Normal (now funding on Kickstarter) Gabe has decided to not only go past one single issue but to tell a fun filled romp of a story that tackles all of the genres at one time. On this episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast, Kristian chats with Gabe about why he decided to abandon the single story format he'd been working in for so long, how his latest work has deep ties to his own relationship with his family and siblings, and why he decided to let go of the preconceived notions of what a comic story should be so he could just enjoy telling the stories he wanted to tell.
