This week Kristian chats with writers Shawn McBee and Maciej Jankowski about the Kickstarter campaign for their new supernatural horror comic Westron! Jan Westron is a detective who is investigating the murder of a teenage girl which has details that are startingly similar to a case he was involved in as a teenaged boy. As he dives deeper into the situation, it begins to become obvious that the killing he's looking into isn't just a run of the mill murder but may have some disturbing connections to creatures born of Slavic mythology. On this episode of the podcast, Kristian chats with Shawn about his time as the "keeper of lore" for the DC TV showStargirl, how his tenure on that show brought him into contact with Maciej when he used to run an online DC Wiki page, and how they came together to make a horror comic that pulls from the Slavic and Celtic mythology from their respective heritages.
