October is here! During the month of October Part-Time Fanboy continues its tradition of chatting about horror films during the Halloween season! Every week this month, Part-Time Fanboy welcomes some of their favorite indie creators to pick one of their favorite spooky movies and chat about it on the podcast!
This week, friend of the podcast and horror writer/critic, Mark L. Miller picks the 1980 cannibal classic, Motel Hell!
Motel Hell tells the story of Famer Vincent Smith and his sister Nancy, who run a motel but are also regionally known for the quality of the meat they sell on their farm. When a biker couple gets into an "accident" nearby, the Smiths takes in the young lady who survives the crash and attempt to assimilate her into their clan. But as she gets closer to the family, it soon becomes clear that the secret to their tasty meat is more sinister than anyone could have ever suspected!
Kristian joins Mark, podcaster Joe Slepski (of the Joe on Joe Podcast), and writer Travis Webb (Starlite) to dig into a film which is one part Psycho, one part Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and could in some ways be a bizarre prequel to Soylent Green!
Part-Time Fanboy. Full-Time obsession on a Part-Time schedule.
