The Adequates is a YA comic book centered around the misadventures of a group of awkward teens who have superpowers. The only problem is that the powers that they have don't necessarily align with their physical attributes. One of them can fly, but is terrified of heights. Another can move at super speed, but has asthma. All in all they are a group of kids who have the worst superpowers ever.
On this episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast, Kristian sits down with the creators behind The Adequates, award winning colorists, writers, and artists Lee Loughridge and Marz Jr. to discuss their unique group of heroes which may be best described as what if the Rugrats grew up to become the teens from Stranger Things and had superpowers. They talk about why they wanted to dive into the YA market, the changes their idea has gone through since they came up with it back in 2000, and how they came up with the signature look of the book.
