Episode Fifty is here and do we have a special treat for you! Kristian gets a chance to sit down with animation and cartooning legend Scott Shaw!

Scott Shaw! is an award winning animator and cartoonist. He’s worked in both industries for years and has helped craft some of the finest cartoons that graced the television screens of multiple generations. Mr. Shaw! has been involved with projects such as The Flintstones, Muppet Babies, The Smurfs, and most recently Annoying Orange. In all honesty, his animation credits are just too numerous to mention here. Comic fans may recognize him from his work on Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew for DC Comics, The Simpsons for Bongo Comics, or Sonic the Hedgehog for Archie Comics. He is also the creator of the hysterical multi-media comic book show Oddball Comics.  On top of all that Mr. Shaw! is also one of the founding members of the San Diego Comic-Con!

Moreso than any other comic creator, Mr. Shaw! (along with Roy Thomas) is the biggest reason Kristian discovered comics. Captain Carrot was the first comic Kristian ever collected and it opened up a world of wonder that he never came back from. Now, in this fiftieth episode of Part-Time Fanboy, Kristian gets to chat with Scott Shaw! about his early life and career in San Diego as well as his days at Hanna-Barbera. He also takes time to discuss the creation of Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew and talks a bit about his dissatisfaction with how the property has been treated since its inception.

Part-Time Fanboy. Not New. Not Current. Always Opinionated.
