Bernie Gonzales is a comic creator who has a particular love for Darwyn Cooke, Bruce Timm, and Batman: The Animated Series. He loves those things so much that when it came time to create his own comic, Midnight Mystery (to be published through Alterna Comics in October), he created a book that was a love letter to the artists he adored and their work. Midnight Mystery is a comic that is inspired by the works of Darwyn Cooke, Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, and Alex Toth that takes the best aspects of their creativity and creates a new, fun, and beautiful looking story of its own. This week, Kristian sits down for a chat with Mr. Gonzales about his terrific new comic and how his love of everything from old noir movies to old animated TV shows motivated him to create one of the best new comics coming out this year!
