During a time of pandemic…what could be a better watch than a show about a pandemic on steroids from Russia? This fall Netflix debuted a show called To The Lake about a horrifying virus that hits mother Russia with the force of Ivan Drago! Being a fan of apocalypse survivalist fiction, Kristian couldn’t help but be sucked in by it and was pleasantly (or unpleasantly?) surprised to discover an entertaining yet harrowing narrative about a group of family and friends struggling to survive while a plague descends upon a cold winter in a foreign land. Kristian found a comrade in Joshua Henaman (screenwriter and creator of the amazing comic Bigfoot: Sword of the Earthman comic book series) in that they both have a love of end of the world stories. On this episode of Part-Time Fanboy Kristian and Josh discuss the extremely uncomfortable prospect of watching a terrific fictional show about a pandemic during a time when an real life pandemic is causing chaos around the world. Josh and Kristian jump head first into To The Lake while discussing many of their favorite books, movies, and TV shows from the same genre! The end of the world is nigh on this episode of Part-Time Fanboy!
