Long disparaged as the worst of the Rocky films, Rocky V sees its titular character stripped of his wealth, injured with a severe brain injury, and turning to training a young up and coming boxer, Tommy Gunn, in a desperate attempt to regain some of his former glory in the boxing ring. Unfortunately, Rocky’s best laid plans for his new pupil go awry when a nefarious Don King-like promoter comes between him and his new protege.
