After having worked in visual effects and post-production on other people’s films for years, Micah Gallo decided to finally take the jump and direct a movie all his own. What kind of web did he have to weave to pull together his first turn at the directing chair? What is it about giant spiders that appealed to him so? What were some of the challenges he faced in attempting to make a horror movie in a Hollywood that both seems to loathe and love horror at the same time?
