After having worked in visual effects and post-production on other people’s films for years, Micah Gallo decided to finally take the jump and direct a movie all his own. Itsy Bitsy is a creature/family drama/horror movie idea that Mr. Gallo had sitting in the back of his head for years that was scratching and clawing to find its way out into the world! Now, Gallo has finished filming on his first feature film (starring actors such as Denise Crosby and Bruce Davison) and he’s turned to Kickstarter to help fund the completion of his first movie! This week, Kristian sits down with Mr. Gallo to discuss the journey that has finally brought him to realizing his first film! What kind of web did he have to weave to pull together his first turn at the directing chair? What is it about giant spiders that appealed to him so? What were some of the challenges he faced in attempting to make a horror movie in a Hollywood that both seems to loathe and love horror at the same time? Find out on this episode of Part-Time Fanboy!

Kristian thanks so much for having me on your show. I really enjoyed our conversation and even more I appreciate the support of you and your listeners on our Kickstarter campaign. Being a truly independent film whether we make our goal or not is the crucial difference as to whether we can finish our film for early 2018 and deliver on the fun scares in the trailer. Thanks again to you and everyone reading.
Best regards, Micah, director of Itsy Bitsy
