This October on Part-Time Fanboy the Part-Time Fanboy gang will be chatting about some of their favorite horror films. Every week this month, one of the Part-Time Fanboy contributors will pick one of their favorite horror movies and those of the crew who can join in will sit down to discuss it.
This week Paul Edwards picks the gothic horror masterpiece, The Haunting! Directed by Robert Wise in 1963, The Haunting is the mother of all haunted House movies! Based on the novel The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, Wise’s film has been an inspiration to just about every cinematic ghost story that came after it. Lauded by the likes of Martin Scorsese as one of his top eleven horror movies of all time, The Haunting has become a classic to all those that enjoy a good, scary, supernatural thriller. Low on gore and visual effects, The Haunting is a case study on what a proficient filmmaker can do when he has mastered his craft. This week Kristian and Paul dive deep into a film that they both love and that any lover of classic and horror cinema should adore as well!
Turn out the lights, lock the doors, and hide under the covers because this week Part-Time Fanboy goes hunting for ghosts in one of the most spine tingling horror flicks of all time!
