B. Clay Moore is a comic book writer who has worked for just about every major publisher in the industry. He broke into comics with his indie comic Hawaiian Dick which was a critical success right out of the gate and was optioned for a Hollywood adaptation almost immediately after its release. His latest project is a book called Killers for Valiant Entertainment. Killers is a spin off of the popular Valiant series Ninjak and delves deeper into the world of Ninja operatives that have made up some of the back story of that comic’s fictional world. This week on Part-Time Fanboy Kristian sits down for a chat with Mr. Moore about creating a new protagonist for the Valiant Universe that’s outside of the original stable of Valiant heroes. Their conversations include such topics as how he initially got involved with Valiant Entertainment, how he went about crafting the story for this new series, why Cyclops is the best X-Man, and why Superman should be one of the easier characters to understand in comics.
